On the List
Jeremy’s attending and doctors just came by and said he is now on the transplant list officially (pending insurance approval)!! This is really big news and we are so excited about it. He actually doesn’t even know it yet because he’s in a procedure. They will probably move him to the ICU in the next 24 to 48 hours in order to get him prepped for a liver transplant and to begin dialysis. He will be towards the top of the list with his current numbers. And we are praying he will get a liver soon. As I am writing that, I am thinking about and praying for the person who will end up being his donor and their family. I can only partially imagine the grief they will go through, but I’m so thankful for people who are willing to donate and choose life for others even after they have passed.
Please pray now for his kidneys to hold up and for him to remain strong in the waiting. These have been such long and dark days, yet filled with glimpses of grace and light and so many of you who I have looked to as I borrow and lean on your faith and hope. When it feels like the foundations of our life are in the earthquake again, we can praise God for a kingdom that will not be shaken—our firm foundation resting in Him.
I also just found out his head attending today is a part of our faith family and was at BH when Pastor Matt prayed with our family a couple of weeks ago. Thank you, Lord, for all the good reminders that You go ahead of us and provide exactly what we need when we need it!
